Women's Ministry

Being transformed from glory to glory into His likeness”
Seeking God’s glory, we invite Camelback women and friends to come learn of Jesus Christ and the glory of his cross, and grow in the transforming work of God’s Spirit, equipped to serve our Lordawerkl'asdfjkl;asdjklasdfklasdfbassadors and representatives of his gospel, just as Jesus Christ served his Father. We provide opportunities to draw women to Jesus Christ, build them up in Christ and send them out equipped to serve our Lord.

And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, Are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
-2 Corinthians 3:18

Many opportunities are available to you through Camelback’s Women’s Ministries. Whether you are single, married, a young mom, the mother of teenagers, a career woman or a grandmother, we welcome you to join us. Various opportunities abound to be nurtured in your personal growth through the study and teaching of the Word of God. Come be encouraged in the fellowship of God’s Spirit through friendships with other women, enjoy the thrill of seeking His face and praying together, and be blessed in serving our Lord.

Activities

Weekly prayer groups, Bible studies, Precept classes, playgroups for moms and kids, and aerobics classes are held regularly, many with childcare. Discipleship groups are held at a variety of times throughout the Valley and an ongoing prayer chain is in place. In addition, the Women’s Ministry hosts monthly “Girlfriends” dinners, annual retreats, holiday brunches, and a host of activities designed to help you grow in Christ.

The Women’s Ministry also supports several ongoing service ministries including, among others, MealMakers, Meals for New Moms and Meals for Crisis Pregnancies. Please contact the church office if you are interested in participating in any of these activities or ministries.

Committed to excelling in our Lord that we may excel in our service to Him. -Titus 3:3-8
A more complete presentation of all that Women’s Ministries is and does can be found in their booklet that is prepared annually and is available at the Welcome Center and in the office. For a personal contact, please call Beccy Jones at 602-955-6370, ext. 100.

Titus 2 Women's Discipleship

God has put before us a new ministry here among the women at Camelback Bible Church.  We are very excited to share what we believe to be God's leading in this endeavor, and hope you would prayerfully consider how you may participate with us.

Titus 2: 3-5 “Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live.  Not to be slanders or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.  Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, that no one will malign the Word of God.”

We see a need at CBC for a discipleship ministry, a ministry where older women can meet one on one with younger women, for the purpose of fulfilling Titus 2, encouraging growth to God’s glory, centered in the cross of Jesus Christ and transformed by the Holy Spirit, reflected in our service to others.

If this stirs your heart either to disciple another or to be discipled, please click on the appropriate file below to fill out an application form  indicating your desire to disciple another woman or to your desire to be matched up with a discipler for discipleship.  The applications can be returned to the church office, Attention: Titus 2 Discipleship or given to Beccy Jones or Catherine Phillips.

If you have any questions please contact Beccy Jones 602-509-7724 beccyjones@cox.net or Catherine Phillips 602-952-8496 headandhelp@gmail.com.
