Julie Shumate, Assistant to Pastor of Music Ministries (Tom)

Julie first attended CBC in January 1982. She joined the office staff in May 2004.

Julie was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ. She has been married to Randy for 24 years. They have four children: Stephanie, Randy Jr., Joshua and Jessica.

Julie says she is blessed by being raised in a Christian home and became a Christian at age 10. She was baptized in Guadalajara, Mexico. She says Jesus is her Lord and she daily seeks His will for her life through reading, studying, and meditating on His word.

Her favorite verse is Ephesians 5:1, “Be imitators of God, therefore; as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
