Parent's Corner

Welcome

Welcome parents! This section is especially for you and is designed to support the primary role God has given you in “bringing up your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4) As a ministry we believe partnering with parents is not just a “good idea”, but absolutely essential in God’s design for winning future generations. We hope that the information and resources made available here will equip you in fulfilling your God-given role and will help us work together more effectively in this glorious work.

Getting Involved

childrenNo ministry can exist apart from the dedicated labors of many of our parents. We want to encourage you to consider joining us in this great work. No matter your gift or abilities there is a place for you to minister among our children. Your labor of love will not only be a blessing to our children but you are sure to receive a blessing as you point the “little ones” to our wonderful Lord. Follow the link below to learn how to become part of our Children’s Ministry Team.

Volunteer Corner

Home and Church (Partners in spiritual nurture)

Home and church have a common calling: the spiritual nurture of children. In an effort to build bridges between the nurturing going on in the home and the church, the following suggestions are offered:
1. Keep informed about what your child is learning each week. Access each ministry curriculum link (see below) to determine what passages, topics, and memory verses have been discussed and learned.
2. During the week use those same passages for family devotions. Reread the story and ask questions. In some cases review questions are already provided. You may wish to schedule this review the day or two after the child has first been introduced to it. For example: Schedule your review of Sunday Morning Discipleship lessons on Monday or Tuesday. Note: Where available it would be important to read through the whole written lesson so that you know what major points have been emphasized. This will help you know what to reinforce.
3. Discuss memory verses your child has been asked to learn. Be sure they understand what they are memorizing. Then encourage mastery of these verses by reviewing them each day.
