GriefShare Helps Others Cope With Loss
After the funeral is over - when friends and family have gone home - when the cards and phone calls stop coming – when everyone else has resumed a normal life - the real work of grief recovery begins.

Anyone who has experienced the death of a family member or friend are invited to participate in the fall GriefShare Program lead by facilitators who have had personal experience with the grief/mourning that accompanies the death of a loved one.

GriefShare is a non-denominational group that meets weekly and features Christ centered, biblical teaching on grief recovery topics associated with the death of a loved one. It includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects and includes real-life stories of people who have experienced losses. After viewing the video there is a small group discussion about what was seen on the video.

Past participants have related how helpful the videos and follow up discussions were to them. You will find encouragement, comfort, and help in grieving the death of a spouse, child, parent, sibling, other family members, or a friend. It is an opportunity to be around people who understand what you are feeling.

Your bereavement experience may be recent or not so recent.
At GriefShare you will learn valuable information about recovering from your grief and renewing your hope for the future. You will also learn how to recognize the symptoms of being stuck in grief.

Grief related books/materials are made available for participants to borrow.

We will be holding Griefshare on Saturdays, September 12 and September 19 from 8:30 AM to 12:40 PM.  Thereafter, on Tuesdays beginning September 15 through December 1 from 6:45 - 8:45 PM in the church library.  On November 17, we will be holding a special class on "Surviving the Holidays."  Because of this class, we will hold 14 classes.

Griefshare is a 13-session bereavement support group open to adults grieving the death of a loved one.  Our hope is to bring healing and comfort to you through Jesus.  You are welcome to begin attending the group any time during these sessions, however, keep in mind that we as a group form a bond so please come as often as possible.

Call Fran Landro or the church office at 602.955.6370 for upcoming sessions.
