MINISTRY

Doug and Marina are involved in four ministries in Ukraine.  The first and primary ministry is raising two wonderful children - Bogdan and Krystal Brook.

Doug is also the president of Ruka Dopomogy (Helping Hands).  His 26 years of youth ministry experience is being poured into the lives of pastors and youth leaders throughout Ukraine and Belarus.  Their vision is to see the lives of Ukrainian teenagers changed by the impact of the Gospel and become life changers themselves.  They do this by equipping the local churches to be effective co-laborers with Christ in a ministry to teenagers by producing resources, coaching churches, and mentoring leaders.  They come alongside a local church for one year to help them develop a youth ministry that is covered in prayer, led by trained youth leaders, disciplining teenagers, penetrating the youth culture, and effectively evangelizing young people.  Their team is currently coaching nine churches in Ukraine and one in Belarus.

Doug is also the president of RD Press, a Christian publishing house in Ukraine.  The vision of the publishing house is to see healthy Christian families bring glory to the Kingdom of God.  Their mission is to equip the local church with excellant resources that will help them build strong families, disciple children and teenagers, and train youth leades.  They are currently working on adapting CBC's Logos Children's Club program as devotional guides for the Christian families of Ukraine.  They have published 30 books and distribute another 83 resources for other Christian organizations.  They distributed over 11,000 resources in 2007.

Doug also serves as IT Ukraine as a founding member and Chairman of the board.  IT Ukraine recruits, trains, and mobilizes Ukrainians as missionaries.  IT Ukraine cares for 20 missionaries serving in Latvia, Portugal, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan.  They have two missionaries preparing for ministry to Spain and another couple to the Muslims of the Caucasus.

1. Pray that Doug and Marina will glorify God in their ministry as well as their personal lives.
2. Pray they will, with their busy schedules, set aside the time they need to spend in God's Word and the time they need to spend with each other as a family.
3. Pray for the national leaders he has trained.
