Excel Ministries - Jr. High & High School

The EXCEL Ministry of Camelback Bible Church is made up of junior high and senior high students from across the Valley. Our name, EXCEL, helps to define who we are and what our purpose is as a ministry. 1 Thessalonians 4:1 encourages us to “EXCEL in a life that is pleasing to God.” To this end, we exist to draw junior high and senior high students into a faith realtionship with Jesus Christ, building them up in His Word, to send them out to serve in their world as Jesus served in His.

To accomplish this goal, students in EXCEL meet together around God's Word, relationships, prayer, fun, music and corporate worship.  *See our 2010-2011 calendar below for details.

This retreat is the perfect get away to recharge our love for Jesus or help us start a new relationship with Him. This year we are going to UCYC in Prescott, AZ over President's Day weekend, February 17-20, where we will participate in a great mix of teaching, small groups and team games. Pastor Jason Fischer, High School Pastor, Scottsdale Bible Church will be discussing our new Born Identity!

Grades 7-12 sign up by January 22.  Click here to register.  Also, if you plan on renting skis or a snowboard please print and complete the Parental/Guardian Release of Liability (required by Snowbowl), then send or fax it to the church office or give it to Brent Klontz. The cost for camp is $159. On Monday you have the option to ski/snowboard  or sled.  The cost to ski/snowboard is $30 for lift ticket and $20 for rental, if needed.  There will be no charge for sledding.

How do I get my student involved?

We encourage students to show up to any EXCEL event, but we know that it can be intimidating to get started.  If you would like us to help get your student involved, call Brent Klontz at 602.955.6370 to have a leader:

1.  Call to invite your student.
2.  Personally meet with your student at an EXCEL event and introduce them to the other students.
3.  Follow up the following week.
