Rev. Ronald Elwardt, Associate Pastor of Children and Families

Pastor Ron started at CBC in 1989 as our Pastor of Children. His role includes developing ministries for children and their parents as part of the fulfillment of our God-given vision for CBC.

Prior to coming to CBC, Ron taught Elementary School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and later served as Director of Camping Ministries for a camp in Wisconsin. Raised in the Chicago area, Ron invested much time as a youth ministering both at his local church as well as at the camp in Northern Wisconsin. He attended both Wheaton College for his undergraduate work (Elementary Education) and Northern Illinois University for his graduate work (Outdoor Education). In 1994, he graduated from Western Seminary in Phoenix with a Masters of Divinity degree.

Married to Ruth, a Kindergarten Teacher, Ron and Ruth also have two daughters – Megan, a graduate of Bethel College, and Rebecca, currently a student at Grand Canyon University.

Ron’s passion for the Children’s Ministry is to glorify God by presenting Christ in order to present every child complete in Christ. (Colossians 1:28, 29)
