David Hamann
Dave and his wife Jean came to CBC in December of 1990. Dave was born in Appleton, Wisconsin, and has been married to Jean for 39 years. They have two sons - Mike, married to wife Betsey, and Scott. They also have two granddaughters - Elizabeth and Terese and two grandsons - John and Gregory.
Vocationally, Dave is a Math teacher at Surrey Garden Christian School in Gilbert.
One of Dave’'s favorite passages in Scripture is I Peter 1:6-7, "In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that your faith - of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire - may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed."
Dave Jones
Dave and his family began attending CBC in 1990. Although born in Detroit, Michigan, Dave grew up on the southwest coast of Florida. Married to wife Beccy for 24 years, they have two children - Michael 22 and Kelsey 18.
Dave is the owner/manager of Spectrum Building Maintenance Company. In addition to serving on our elder board, Dave oversees CBC`s Widows` Ministry and Grief/Share Ministry and teaches a new believers class called Laying the Foundations. Dave also leads a small group.
Dave's favorite passages in Scripture come from the Psalms, such as Psalm 121 among others. "I lift up my eyes to the hills-where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth."
Jeff Norman
Jeff and his wife, Leslie moved to Paradise Valley, AZ in 1994 and joined CBC. Jeff is from western Pennsylvania and Leslie is from central Illinois. They have four children: James, a recent graduate of Baylor University; Rachel attending Florida State University; and Rob and Katie in high school. Jeff is the Executive Vice President of Scottsdale Healthcare.
He has been involved with children’s ministries and adult Sunday school as a teacher and leader. He currently leads the Drawing -In committee of the elder board.
Jeff's life verse is Lamentations 3:19-23: ”I remember my afflication and my wandering, the bitterness and the gall. I well remember them, and my soul is downcast within me. Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
Russ Rot
Russ and his family first came to CBC in 1985. Russ was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Arizona when he was two years old. Married to wife Carol, they have two children and seven grandchildren.
In addition to his elder responsibilities, Russ also is involved with CBC’s Preschool and Benevolence Ministries.
Russ’ favorite verse is Psalm 62:5 “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.” Russ says, “no matter the circumstances of life, I can find rest in my God.”
Chuck Savale
Chuck has been a member of CBC since 1969, after coming to Christ in high school. Not having a church, he was directed to Camelback and has been a member, sent out missionary (Young Life), youth pastor (CBC), and now an elder. It is his privilege and honor to serve our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ within this local body. Married 31 years to his amazing wife Lisa, and blessed with two boys who love and serve Jesus, Scot (24) - Mark (20) and they attend Grand Canyon University.
Chuck oversees the College Ministry, and leads the Berean’s Sunday Morning Fellowship which is for adults and college students (Meets 9:00 AM in Room 207). Chuck works for the Solid Rock Foundation, a Christian 501(c)3 non-profit in Phoenix. He is humbled, convicted, and encouraged by Phil. 2: 1-4. ![[]](/extras/spacer.gif)
Bill Weldon
Bill and his wife Pat joined CBC in 1973 after moving to Arizona from Florida. They have served as Camelback missionaries on three different occasions as well as having served with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Born in Vance County, North Carolina, Bill left there and attended college in Winter Park, Florida. There he and Pat married and lived until they were called into missionary service and assigned with Athletes-in-Action to Phoenix.
Bill and Pat have two adult children and currently four grandchildren.
He has served CBC as a deacon, teacher and small group leader since coming to CBC in the 70's.
He is a retired university professor but is still active in teaching in an adjunct capacity.
His life verses are: Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
