(Email Pastor Jason)Jason began his pastoral ministry at CBC in January of 2008.
Married to wife Bridget since 1999, they have four children, Justin (born in 2001), Isaac (born in 2003), Kiah (born in 2006) and Tobin (born in 2008).
Jason is a graduate of Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Oregon (B.A. Bible & Theology, B.A. Speech Communications), and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Masters of Divinity, Advanced Biblical Studies) in Wake Forest, North Carolina. It was at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh, NC, where God married Jason’s passion for teaching the Bible, and his passion for children’s ministry. It was while serving as Elementary Director at Providence that God called Jason to Camelback, to serve as the Pastor of Children’s Discipleship.
Jason is a native of Ontario, Canada where he lived until high school. At age 19 he joined Operation Mobilization as a short-term missionary on their ships Doulos and Logos II. Jason served for two years on the ships, where God revealed his gifts for teaching and preaching. It was a desire to see these gifts honed that led Jason to Multnomah, where he later met Bridget, and then further to Southeastern.
During the years prior to his arrival at Camelback, Jason endeavored to balance full time work with full time studies and also his marriage and growing family responsibilities. Jason’s favorite passage of scripture grew ever more important during this period. Genesis 37 – 47 which contains Joseph’s story speaks of a man who endured incredible suffering and loss. The passage speaks of one who was devoted to God, with a strong character of faithfulness in the face of intense adversity. These principles resonate with Jason’s desire to glorify God and see Christ be made full and complete in his life.
