MINISTRY
Job Title: Associate Director of the Resource Workgroup
Job Summary
To assist the Department Director in providing leadership and direction to the Resource Workgroup Department and in implementing departmental objectives.
Responsibilities
1. Identify and present to the Department Director those needs and opportunities which are most critical to the future ministry of Greater Europe Mission (GEM) in Europe and North America and which are not being adequately addressed by existing structures within GEM.
2. Develop and present in writing strategies and objectives for addressing the needs and opportunities which have been assigned by the director.
3. Implement the departmental strategies and objectives which have been assigned by the Departmental Director.
Assist in the recruitment, processing, training, placement, supervision, and evaluation of Finishers. Finishers are people who have had non-mission careers but are interested in becoming short-term or long-term missionaries. This includes retirees, as well as those who are still working but want to change careers.
Assist in improving relationships with local churches in North America, in aiding churches to develop robust mission outreaches, and in developing strategic partnerships with churches for more effective ministry in Europe.
Assist in influencing North American and global missiological thinking and trends. This includes facilitating GEM personnel in publishing articles and finding key speaking and teaching opportunities.
